Nearly ten years have passed since Otto Octavius took control of Peter Parker’s life. To commemorate this milestone, Marvel and Dan Slott are once again making Spider-Man Superior, with writers Dan Slott and artists Ryan Stegman, Mark Bailey, Giuseppe Camuncoli, and Humberto Ramos reuniting for October’s Superior Spider Man Returns.

In 2013, fans went crazy over the SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN era that began when a dying Doctor Octopus switched his thoughts into Peter Parker’s body.

Doc Ock brutally forced his way through Spider-Man’s famed rogues’ gallery, startling other heroes with his savage style of crime-fighting before receiving painful lessons about tremendous responsibility.

Doc Ock drove himself to prove his superiority in every manner. Has Doc Ock had enough of living like a spider or is he ready to give up his metal arms and once more be the strongest and smartest superhero in the Marvel Universe?

Peter had no idea who the Superior Spider-Man was. He was considerably more tactical and effective than Peter, who was more upright and felt a great deal of responsibility.

He created a squadron of Spider-bots to patrol the city and keep him updated on local happenings. With a direct line to the police for any smaller offences, he would utilise this information to determine which crimes merited his attention.

J. Jonah Jameson might have even enjoyed Otto’s Spider-Man, which was one of their biggest contrasts. After he broke the Scorpion’s jaw and rendered the vulture blind, he earned a reputation for being ruthless.

Instead of Otto’s customary wisecracks, we heard his strategic considerations. His decision to kill Massacre, a serial killer, was arguably his most extreme move.

Otto made the judgment that killing one man would save countless lives, contrary to Peter’s belief that he will never, ever kill anyone.

Peter’s spirit was pleading with Otto not to shoot the Massacre as he was being held at gunpoint, but it was ineffective.
