Stream Spider Man Across The SpiderVerse as it hits digital platforms on August 8.
Sony Pictures stated in a press statement on Tuesday that Spider-Man fans will be able to download the second part of the Spider-Verse adventure next week on any digital streaming platform to which they are subscribed. The digital download includes special bonus elements such as filmmaker commentary, lyric videos for the songs featured in the film, and a deleted scene with Miguel O’Hara, AKA Spider-Man 2099.
Can We Stream Spider-Man Across The SpiderVerse on Disney Plus?
While it may appear strange that a Marvel film will be released on Netflix rather than Disney Plus, keep in mind that this is a Sony film, not a Disney production. Because Sony does not have its own streaming platform, it has teamed with Netflix for exclusive first-look premieres of its films. But it doesn’t imply they’ll be there indefinitely.
We’ll have to wait and see how long the film will be available on Netflix, and which streaming service it might end up on once it leaves.
The good news is that Across the Spider-Verse will also be available on digital platforms on August 8 (including YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, Apple, and Vudu).
Can We Stream Spider-Man Across The SpiderVerse on Netflix?
Sony Pictures announced a contract with Netflix in 2022 under which its theatrically produced films will someday be available on the pioneer streaming service during the coveted pay-1 period.
The “pay-1” period is so named because it is often the first option for people to pay to watch a film outside a theatrical release.
A few Sony Pictures theatrical titles from 2023 have already been added to Netflix.
On May 6, Tom Hanks’ A Man Called Otto debuted on Netflix, followed by Adam Driver’s 65 on July 8. Both correspond to 120 days following the film’s initial release in theatres.
Following suit, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse will very certainly be released on Netflix on September 30.
