Final Fantasy 14 is being released on Xbox, nearly 13 years after it came out on PC and PlayStation.
This is according to director and producer Naoki Yoshida, who announced the announcement at Final Fantasy Fan Fest with Xbox CEO Phil Spencer. Final Fantasy 14 will be released on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S in spring 2024, with an open beta set to begin during the patch 6.5 cycle this year.
When one of the best MMORPGs arrives on Xbox next year, it will do so with 4K support, however Final Fantasy 14 will only be available digitally.

Final Fantasy 14 Xbox Series: Release Date
Final Fantasy XIV will be published in spring 2024 for Xbox Series X|S. Despite continuous PS4 support, there is no Xbox One version planned. The Xbox Series X|S version will be available digitally only and will have faster loading times. Those who play on the Series X will also have access to 4K support.
An open beta is currently planned for later this year, along with patch 6.5X. Fixed beta dates will be revealed at a later date. Those who miss the beta will be able to play before they buy; the game’s free trial will also be accessible on Xbox.

Final Fantasy XIV requires you to perform fetch quests, dungeons, and raids across the beautiful realm of Hydaelyn, which is full of political intrigue and mystical beauty. When it was released in 2013, the game was one of the first live-service disasters, and it was even completely pulled down for a while before re-releasing as A Realm Reborn.
Since then, it has had increasingly outstanding expansions, each offering new characters, classes, and conflicts. While it is an MMO, a Duty Support system allows you to play solo against AI-controlled NPCs.
The Future of Final Fantasy 14 Xbox
The Final Fantasy 14: Dawntrail DLC will be the latest addition to be introduced in summer 2024, shortly after the game’s debut on Xbox. Players will enter the new planet of Tural during a rite of succession to determine the region’s next king. This could lead them to a city of gold, but the trek will be difficult.
