Baldur’s Gate 3’s much anticipated release date is almost approaching. Fans are eagerly awaiting the game’s full release after approximately three years of Early Access. Larian Studios, known for their success with Divinity: Original Sin 2, created the third instalment, which differs from the previous Baldur’s Gate games in several significant respects. Notably, it is based on the Fifth Edition Dungeons and Dragons ruleset.

The release date for Baldur’s Gate 3 is slated for August 3, 2023. Some players, however, may have to wait until August 4 depending on their time zone. The release date has been a source of curiosity, but the game’s team has announced that the game will be released simultaneously worldwide.

Will there be multiplayer support?
Baldur’s Gate 3 will have “full controller support” and “split-screen co-op,” which means “you’ll be able to play the entirety of your adventures in Faerûn with another player on the same device,” according to Larian. Is cross-save progression supported in Baldur’s Gate 3?
Larian has more positive news to share about cross play. “In addition, Baldur’s Gate 3 will offer cross-save progression between PC, Mac, and PS5… Allowing you to transfer your saves between platforms and contiBaldur’s Gate 3nue your adventure regardless of where you buy the game.”

When Does Baldur’s Gate 3 Release for PlayStation and Xbox?
The game will be available for PC on August 3, 2023, but PlayStation and Xbox players will have to wait even longer. Larian Studios now plans to release a console version of BG3 for PlayStation 5 on September 6, 2023, more than a month after PC players. It will only be accessible on the PlayStation 5, therefore PS4 owners will be disappointed.

Similarly, when it is released for the Xbox One, it will only be accessible for the Xbox Series X|S and not the Xbox One. Larian Studios, on the other hand, has not yet confirmed a release date for Baldur’s Gate 3 on Xbox platforms, but it is supposedly in the works.
